COVID-19 LIBRARY UPDATES

March 2022: The Mildred Whipple Library is open for browsing, some in-person programs, and for computer use.

 

The health and safety of our staff and community govern our operational decisions. Thank you for respecting other patron's choices and continuing to maintain a low-risk environment for patrons of all health levels to enjoy. Our services are as follows:

  • If you have a fever, feel unwell, or have been in contact with someone who is, please save your visit for another time.

 

  • If you have recently visited the library and you become ill, contact the library immediately (541-836-2648 or info@ndld.org).

  • Curbside service is available during all open hours to all patrons. To participate in curbside service: place holds online at ndld.biblionix.com/catalog (requires account login), by calling 541-836-2648, or by emailing info@ndld.org. If you are looking for something new but are not sure where to start, library staff are available to help you find your next read. Reserves are available for pick up in the Civic Center foyer.

  • Masks are strongly encouraged in the building. Masks are available in the lobby.

  • Please no food or drink in the building. Water in a no-spill container is permitted.

  • Computer sessions are limited to 1 household at a time for a maximum of 1 hour. Laptops are available to checkout to patrons wishing to use a computer (restrictions apply).

  • Some in-person programs have resumed (following health and safety guidelines). All programs follow posted library policies. See our calendar (https://www.ndld.org/library-events) for program dates and times.

  • Book delivery is available to homebound patrons. Books are delivered the third Saturday of every month; please call 541-836-2648 to sign up for this program.

The library’s online resources and services remain available to patrons 24/7, including:

 

- Oregon Digital Library Consortium's Library2Go

 

- All Online Databases, including over 45 Gale databases (through Libraries of Oregon)

- Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (register online for FREE here)

- FREE daily wifi 8AM - 8PM in the Civic Center parking lot

- Monthly on-your-own programs for babies and toddlers, children, teens, and adults.

- Our form for library suggestions and feedback.
